In Disk Utility the format is listed as ISO 9660 (Rockridge). So I opened Disk Utility and checked there too. MY Data Disk in the "Get Info" window lists the format as ISO 9660 (Joliet). But this time, I installed it on my hard drive at the root level (as in not in a folder.) App ran fine. Checked to have all previous versions of Rosetta Stone deleted (uninstalled). As recommended from online help and other sources of information, I used the Disk Utility app from the original install DVD to repair permissions to my MacBookPro. Installed without issue onto a windows xp professional laptop and also on an old iBook G3 running Panther (10.3.9).Ĥ. Tested the very same disks on 2 other computers to rule out disk errors. The old wrist-watch icon was appearing instead of the colorful spinning circle. Application would "not respond" after stalling at the splash screen. Then installed from the applications disk.

I'm not too sure about levels, they seem pretty much the same except I would say that for level 5 you'd need to be able to already understand thais speaking at normal tempo as she is pretty quick.Ī piece of software I could not do without is Anki, whenever I read a new word, phrase or fact that I want to store I just quickly add it to anki and when I have 5 minutes to kill now and then flick back through the cards. I found them all useful but level 5 has this great female teacher, she speaks fast but very clear and is funny,interesting and I have to say pretty which does help. they have about 25 hours of levels 1-5 of thai classroom lessons to watch. I was in a similiar situation to you a while back, these computer related things you might like: I hear you about pimsleur, I find it quite good for structure but i couldn't imagine how you could know without guessing some of the pictures.
